This policy explains what information Olsen Creations collects when you visit eventhashtagsigns.com or order a custom sign, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions? Email support@olsencreations.com.
Who we are
Olsen Creations is a small business in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, that makes custom 3D printed signs.
What we collect
- Order details: your name, email address, phone number (if you give one), shipping address, and the signs you order (text, size, colors, quantity, how you plan to use them, and any notes).
- Messages: what you send through our question form (your name, email address, question type and message).
- Payment: payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number goes directly to Stripe and is never stored on our site.
- Technical information: your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, collected by our web host’s server logs, by Google Analytics, and by the Meta tools described below. Our short links (such as eventhashtagsigns.com/fb) may also record when they’re clicked.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use our site: which pages are viewed, how you arrived (for example, which of our posts or ads you clicked), and your general location and device type. It also records when you send our question form or use a pop-up on the site, but not what you type. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser (such as _ga). Google receives your IP address to provide the service but doesn’t store it in our reports, and we don’t send Google your name, email address, or order details. You can opt out with Google’s browser add-on. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
We advertise on Facebook and Instagram, and we use the Meta Pixel and Meta’s Conversions API to see which ads lead to visits and orders.
- The Meta Pixel sets cookies in your browser (such as _fbp) and tells Meta when you view our site.
- When you start checkout or complete an order, we send Meta an event with your IP address, browser type, those Meta cookie values, and your email address and name in scrambled (hashed) form. Meta uses this to measure our ads. It doesn’t receive your sign details or payment information.
- Stripe sets its own cookies during checkout to prevent fraud. See the Stripe Privacy Policy.
You can limit this by blocking or clearing cookies in your browser and by adjusting your ad settings in your Facebook or Instagram account. Our site doesn’t change its behavior in response to browser “Do Not Track” signals.
How we use it
- To make, ship and support your order, including sending you a digital proof.
- To send order confirmations, proofs and shipping updates, and to answer your questions.
- To understand how visitors use our site, and to measure and improve our advertising.
- To prevent fraud and keep the site secure.
- To keep the business and tax records we’re required to keep.
We don’t sell your personal information.
Text messages
If you give us your phone number when you order and check the box agreeing to texts, we’ll send you text messages about that order: proof approvals, order status and shipping updates. We don’t send marketing texts.
- Message frequency varies with your order, usually a few messages per order.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to any message to stop texts, or reply HELP for help. You can also email support@olsencreations.com.
- Texting is optional and isn’t a condition of purchase. If you give us a phone number without checking the box, we’ll only use it to call you about your order if we need to.
- Carriers aren’t liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
We don’t sell, rent or share your phone number or your agreement to receive texts with anyone for their marketing or promotional purposes. Your phone number is shared only with the services that deliver our calls and texts.
Who we share it with
Only the services we need to run the business:
- Stripe, to process payments.
- Meta, for the advertising measurement described above.
- Google, for site analytics (Google Analytics).
- Amazon Web Services (Amazon SES), to send our emails.
- Telegram, which delivers private new-order alerts to us (these include your name, email address, phone number and sign details).
- Namecheap, which hosts this website.
- VoIP.ms, our phone service, which carries our calls and text messages.
- Shipping carriers and our postage service, which receive your name and shipping address to deliver your order.
We may also share information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep order records, including your name, email address, phone number, shipping address and whether you agreed to texts, for as long as tax and accounting rules require. The IRS generally recommends keeping business records for 3 to 7 years. Messages sent through our question form are kept on our website and in our email as long as we need them to help you.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we have about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing support@olsencreations.com. We’ll delete what we can, but we may need to keep order records we’re legally required to keep.
Security
Our site uses encrypted (HTTPS) connections, and card details never touch our server. If a data breach ever affects your personal information, we’ll notify you as the law requires.
Children
Our site isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update it here and change the date at the top.
